{"id":272,"date":"2022-02-11T17:17:16","date_gmt":"2022-02-12T01:17:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dengarry.com\/?page_id=272"},"modified":"2024-06-17T09:28:33","modified_gmt":"2024-06-17T16:28:33","slug":"casual-residence-worker-prince-george","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dengarry.com\/?page_id=272","title":{"rendered":"Casual Residence Worker &#8211; Prince George"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>POSITION: Casual Residence Worker<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>City: Prince George<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Number of Positions: 4<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Posting Date: February 1, 2022<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Closing Date: Until Filled<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Salary: $26.83-$29.76 per hour for day and afternoon shifts<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;  $23.72-$26.28 per hour for sleeping night shifts<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Automobile: Required<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div id=\"nature\">\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Assists Adults with Developmental Disabilities to live successfully in residential settings such as Community Group Housing and Supported Independent Living.<\/li>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Nature:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Assists Adults with Developmental Disabilities to live successfully in residential settings such as Community Group Housing and Supported Independent Living.<\/li><li>Ensures that the Individual\u2019s physical, emotional, social, educational and medical needs are met.<\/li><li>Assists the Individual to enhance quality of life with activities of daily living and the development of life skills.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Qualifications (Education):<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Grade 12 diploma or equivalent<\/li><li>Non-violent crisis intervention training (Mandt or Equivalent)<\/li><li>Valid Emergency Level First Aid Certificate with Adult CPR component<\/li><li>Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License<\/li><li>Clear Criminal Record Review for the purposes of working with vulnerable adults<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Key Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Participates in the assessment, goal setting and service planning for individuals living in a residence. Documents, implements and provides input into the evaluation of the services.<\/li><li>Provides life skills training such as meal preparation, housekeeping, personal care &amp; personal finance and implements individual service plans.<\/li><li>Assists the Individual with activities of daily living such as feeding, lifts, transfers, hygiene, grooming and toileting.<\/li><li>This may include transfer of function duties such as gastrostomy feeding, tracheostomy management, suction and bowel management.<\/li><li>Assists in carrying out health related care, including physical &amp; mental, setting and attending appointments with doctors as needed.<\/li><li>Administers medication to the Individual in accordance with established policy.<\/li><li>Participates in various Individual-focused activities in accordance with service plans.<\/li><li>Acts as a positive role model for Individuals, coworkers and members of the community.<\/li><li>Assists in creating and maintaining a pleasant working climate that is conducive to the Individual\u2019s training and progress.<\/li><li>Carries out designated Individual programs &amp; guidelines of both, behavior management and skill acquisition nature, and collects related data.<\/li><li>Recognizes, analyzes and deals with potential emergency situations such as an Individual\u2019s aggressive behavior to ensure no harm comes to the Individual and\/or the public.
